Trash Collection and Recycling
Trash and Recycling are picked up each week on Wednesday morning. If there is a holiday that week, before the Wednesday pickup, then the pickup will be delayed one day.
Trash- Each unit is allowed four (4) 13 gallon kitchen trash bags a week or the equivalent of one (1) 50-60 gallon barrel. The trash should be bagged and the bag sealed to prevent the trash from blowing across the property. If a unit has a need to dispose of more than their allotted amount in a week, then the owner needs to make arrangements with the collection company themselves to pay for any overages.
PRVA is currently using United Material Management as our rubbish and recycling collector.
Recycling- Recycling is clean plastic containers, clean cardboard/fiberboard/paper, clean glass containers, and clean metal containers. Materials do not need to be sorted, but recycling should be placed beside your trash to be collected in such a way as to prevent it from being blown around the property. Unit owners are responsible for providing their own bin for their recycling.
